Formal Publication

Vox typology classification publication and Alda type specimen, grouping typefaces according to there main characteristics. A formal publication with added quirkiness though subject matter of biscuits and sweets. My design direction for my typology book was to keep it formal and classic but add a bit of quirkiness and fun though my type specimen. What drove my concept was showing many type examples of each section in a way that is easy to understand but also has a bit of character to it. For the typeface Alda’s type specimen, I wanted to create a word scramble to show off the variety of the font Alda. I think that this concept helped combine the theme of sweet food together with my specimen font and helped the flow between the typology book and specimen.
